Laurie is an entrepreneur, former TV journalist and CEO of a technology and education business. At 18, he was planning to go to medical school, but studied English instead. He trained as a TV journalist at TV-am and then made documentaries for Channel 4.
30 years ago, he started own tech business with 3D graphics pioneer, Chris Briscoe.
The company, Primal Pictures, developed the world’s first complete and accurate 3D model of human anatomy. Chris and Laurie sold the business to Informa plc in 2012.

Since 2012, Laurie has focused on helping other people develop their own business and fulfil their dreams. He ran a social enterprise supporting business founders from diverse backgrounds in east London, and is a currently a non-exec director, strategy consultant and executive coach.
